Video Highlights from World Masters Games 2017 - USA, AUS & NZL

USA Olympic weightlifters performed well at the World Masters Games 2017. Kristi Brewer brought home the gold medal with Gwendolyn Sisto bringing home the silver medal in their under 63kg weight class. Not only did they do this but they also set world masters records in doing so at the snatch and clean and jerk disciplines. 

Kristi Brewer set the world masters record for the clean and jerk while Gwendolyn Sisto set the world masters record for the snatch. Olympic Weightlifting in the United States is growing and proving a life changer for many people as the fitness wave spreads through crossfit. Great to see fellow USA Olympic weightlifter Jaclyn Joyce speaking out about coming through tough times with Olympic Weightlifting helping to get life back on track. She also competed in the under 63kg weight class representing the United States Olympic Weightlifting team at the World Masters Games 2017 held in Auckland, New Zealand.

New Zealand's Jade Younger competed in the under 58kg weight class gaining not only a gold medal but a games record to go along with it. She was kitted out in one of Cobra's elite custom made Olympic weightlifting suits. See the link below for action highlights as well as interviews of the athletes.

Amelia Thomsett representing Australia brought home the bronze medal after a long fight with the United States lifters. Great effort by her to get on the podium in the hotly contested weight class and age category just edging out 4th place by 1kg.
